To support our growth, we are looking for a motivated, hands-on Estimator / Work Planner to join our team.

What will you be doing?

In this diverse role, you’ll support both the commercial and planning departments (VAC). You’ll be responsible for preparing cost estimates, handling project variations, and assisting in the planning and preparation of our works. You will work closely with the project manager and site teams.

Your responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for new and ongoing projects (labour, materials, equipment)
• Calculate and process variations (additional or reduced scope of work)
• Support procurement by extracting quantities and sending requests
• Assist in tenders and create commercial reports
• Analyse technical drawings, specifications and schedules
• Contribute to work schedules and phase planning (VAC)
• Prepare work methods, material lists and construction sequences
• Request and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain and update cost databases and internal estimating tools
• Occasionally assist with site visits, measurements and progress monitoring

Who are we looking for?

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in estimating, work planning or a related role
• Experience in civil engineering, concrete construction or infrastructure is a plus
• Strong technical insight and attention to detail
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
• Familiar with Dutch cost models or willing to learn them quickly
• Eager to learn, proactive and flexible in taking on various tasks
• Structured worker with clear communication skills
• Proficient with Excel, measurement software and planning tools (e.g. MS Project, Asta)
• Fluent in Dutch or English
• A true team player with a hands-on mentality
